Blowing Agent

Features:

Chemical blowing agents are reactive additives that release gases during the processing of thermoplastics. Thus, they enable the production of foamed plastic for various applications. Gases develop by means of a thermally activated decomposition reaction that occurs during the processing of the blowing agents, generating a stable and defined plastic foam.

Properties:

Appearance: A greasy substance with a neutral odour.
Boiling Point: >250oC
Flash Point: >100oC
Solubility: Insoluble in water. Soluble in ethanol, benzene and propyl alcohol.

Storage and Transportation:

Store in a tightly closed container in a cool and dry area.
Avoid excessive light.

Applications:

Used in PE foam.
